Right now I'm balancing between two projects and looking to connect them. This past fall and winter, I was working on modelling climate phenomena using a fantastic algorithm called the Kalman Filter--I drew heavily on Dr. Frank Kwasniok's research, learned a great deal about stochastic processes, and successfully tested my programs to demonstrate that the project is feasible. This spring, I have been studying Gaussian quantum information, an alternative way to handle quantum computation, under Professor Whitfield. I'm looking to connect the two projects, because the Kalman Filter manipulates Gaussian information using linear transformations.'
