Front-Page Feature in Nature Physics: Simulating Fermions with Quantum Computers

We are excited to share that our article, “Simulating Fermions with Quantum Computers,” has been featured on the front page of Nature Physics.
Quantum computers can probe fermionic systems by encoding their degrees of freedom into qubits, using compact first-quantized or flexible second-quantized encodings. They are expected to become a powerful tool for studying physical quantum systems, and this Review discusses methods for encoding fermionic degrees of freedom into qubits, enabling the study of systems beyond spin-1/2 models.
